Post Office Choral Eisteddfod

The Background: The annual Post Office Choral Eisteddfod in association with the South African Choral Music Association (SACMA) gives more than 10 000 choristers countrywide the opportunity to take part in regional and national awards, providing young people with a constructive means of spending their free time, building their culture and broadening their world. The Post Office required the logistical expertise of The Event Company to ensure the awards went off smoothly.

The Task: Oversee the running of the regional awards as well as the final national awards.

The Challenge: Two months to execute a national event running for over four months.

The Logistics: Venue liaison, décor, technical aspects for all the regions. Logistics for the final national event included invites, programmes, catering, the RSVP process, database management, travel and accommodation.

The Results: Well-executed awards with 1,500 people at the national event over two days. An uplifting time was had by all.
