It’s all systems go for the greatest show on earth, Expo 2020 Dubai. With 190 countries participating and an estimated 25-million people expected to visit Expo 2020 Dubai, it is an unprecedented platform to engage and immerse people from across the globe in your brand.

First scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April this year, Expo 2020 Dubai was postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The name Expo 2020 has been kept simply for branding purposes.

You are not too late to late to be cast in the World’s Greatest Show from 1 October 2020 to 31 March 2022.

World Expo 2020 Dubai is a big deal

Expo 2020 Dubai is a huge deal. It is the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, and the largest event ever held in the Arab world. It is also the biggest international event to rise from the desolation of rolling lockdowns and travel restrictions that have subdued countries worldwide since the start of the pandemic.

For the first time in World Expo history, all 190 participating countries will have their own pavilions to showcase their cultures, experiences, ideas and innovations.

It is time to celebrate, be entertained, collaborate and innovate.

The branding power of World Expo

World Expo is a global event that has at its heart the goal to connect nations and showcase the world’s cultures, innovations and ideas. The nation and branding building power of World Expo is unrivalled. No other event on the planet has the power to call and connect millions of visitors from around the world quite like World Expo.

The Expo will burgeon with performances, activities and experiences for 15 hours a day, seven days a week, for six months. The site itself spans 4.4 square kilometers, equal to more than 600 soccer fields, and boasts a 45 000 square foot exhibition centre capable of hosting 20 000 people at once.

There is over 30 000 square metres of food service space, with more than 200 food outlets offering everything from street food to gourmet cuisine influenced by the world. Kiosks, pop-up shops and other exciting retail opportunities are available in the expansive 6 000 square metres of retail space where shoppers of the world will converge.

Interactive exhibits, themed pavilions, innovative technology, and a vibrant cultural and entertainment programme make World Expo a spectacular platform to connect, discover and engage.

Ideas are born at World Expo

The first World Expo, the Great Exhibition, took place in London in 1851. Over the years, World Expos have seen the birth of several landmark innovations that shaped the world.

Ketchup, Philadelphia 1876

The Eiffel Tower, Paris 1889

X-ray machine, Buffalo 1901

Commercial broadcast television, New York 1939

Mobile telephone, Osaka 1970

Touchscreens, Knoxville 1982

Humanoid Robots, Nagoya 2005

Connecting Minds, Creating the Future is World Expo 2020’s theme, chosen based on the belief that innovation and progress are the result of people from diverse fields and backgrounds coming together to share ideas and drive innovation.
